ENIM provides a generalist and professional training course authorised by the Commission of Engineering Titles (CTI in French) to award the engineering diploma.
5 years to build up
-
an 18-week internship in the 2nd year
-
an 18-week internship in the 4th year
-
a 20-week end-of-study project (PFE, “projet de fin d’études”) in the 5th year.
Generalist preparatory cycle
These two years allow an approach to the engineering profession, the company and the functions that the engineer could occupy there while laying the necessary scientific and technical bases combined with a human training.
At ENIM, first-year students are strongly supported in the transition from secondary to higher education for the success of all. From the second year, they are put in contact with the industrial world through an 18-week internship, but also thanks to numerous visits to companies, which opens them up to professional life.
These two years allow the construction of a base to integrate the engineering cycle with the necessary basics.
Engineering cycle
It is possible to join the engineering cycle after a BTS, a CPGE, a DUT or a Licence 2 or 3.
The engineering cycle allows you to perfect the scientific bases, to refine a professional project and to prepare a winning entry into the professional world. During these three years, teaching is based on courses and tutorials always accompanied by numerous practical works, group projects, visits to companies and several career dating with working engineers.
An 18-week internship and a 20-week end-of-study project are the two key periods of this training cycle.
Indeed, through the development of a highly technical mission, the fourth year internship aims at giving the ENIM engineer a good knowledge of the working methods and constraints of the industrial world and thus to be able to apply the knowledge acquired in training to the concrete problems encountered in the company.
In fifth year, the end-of-studies project marks the end of the training. It allows the synthesis and implementation of all the knowledge acquired during the engineering cycle. This constitutes a real transition between the studies and the first job.
A customisable training
Students develop their professional project throughout their training. ENIM offers each student the opportunity to personalise their career path with their professional and personal aspirations.
Students can thus:
-
carry out their internships and their PFE in a wide variety of sectors
-
go abroad to study
-
prepare a double-diploma
-
research-oriented
While choosing a specialization in the fourth year.
Training in line with business needs
The subjects of internships and final-year projects are proposed by companies and validated by the teaching teams. This approach ensures that the students' experience is in line with the realities of the industrial environment.
The Industrial Relations Department is the interface between the school and companies. It establishes and maintains links with industrial partners, prospects and collects offers of internships and end-of-study projects and then proposes them to students. The latter apply for the offers according to their personal project.
The research laboratories also maintain numerous links with the industrial world, particularly through research contracts
Opening to the world: going international
Studying abroad offers the opportunity to perfect your command of foreign languages, to live an exciting experience, to increase your capacity for adaptation, autonomy and initiative and to build an international career.
To help its students to study abroad, ENIM has developed about a hundred partnerships in 30 countries around the world.
Students have the opportunity to realize abroad:
- an academic stay of one semester in the 2nd or 4th year
- a double degree in about twenty specialties
- an academic project in collaboration with foreign students in their institution or at the ENIM
- an option to relocate in the 5th year
- an industrial internship of one semester
